Whether or not you choose to believe it, most real estate professionals really do want to help you either buy the right home or sell the one you've got. There's a very old misnomer that because we agents "sell" something that we're only in it for the money. Sadly, there have been those cases where the bottom dollar is what motivated some agents in a different time. However, most of today's agents understand that it behooves them to be connected and come from a place of service for their clients because of the potential for not only future business but the possibility of adding new relationships to the equation. Until I was an agent myself I would (and still will) recommend Lin Van Meter of ReMax Innovations until the cows came home (haha, get it) because she helped me buy the home I'm currently in, which I love.
